I have enjoyed working with plants from an early age and have been tending, designing and planting gardens in Devon for over 20 years. I am qualified with Pickard School of Garden design and have advanced RHS certification in Horticulture.
I believe gardeners have their part to play in easing the pressures on the natural world. I follow a sensitive approach in sourcing materials and plants, locally sourced where possible, and look for opportunities to attract beneficial wildlife and minimise environmental impact. We are involved in the local Climate action group, last year planting over 500 trees in partnership with Devon Wildlife trust. We offer monthly free garden visits if you are interested in making your garden more earth-friendly.
I am passionate about designing gardens. and each project is a unique creation designed to transform your space into a garden that fulfils your needs and wishes. A well designed and planted garden can provide so much pleasure to owners and visitors alike and my design process focuses on organising and shaping spaces to suit many elements – from the practical wants and needs of the client; the climate & soil of the garden, to the house architecture.
When not at work I enjoy taking inspiration from local gardens, nurseries and from nature itself in the beautiful surrounding moors and sea-scapes.
